Macomb Center for the Performing Arts
The Macomb Center not only brings the best in entertainment to Southeast Michigan, but is a center of education and enrichment offering a variety of cultural and enrichment experiences to the young and the young at heart.
Choir programs and summer workshops are enjoyed by over 700 students annually, to which the Macomb Center awards approximately 75 scholarships each year, giving students access to professional instruction in drama, flute, clarinet, show choir and children’s chorus.
The Macomb Center Page to Stage series, launched in 2009, has welcomed over 7,000 students of all ages to enjoy professionally staged theatrical performances of significant works of curriculum-based literature, that are brought to life by providing interactive pre and post-show discussions.
In addition, the Macomb Center is home to over 350 volunteer ushers; provides free or subsidized tickets to performances for at-risk families and children; partners with community organizations such as the Macomb Ballet Company, Macomb Symphony, the Warren Symphony, Arts Academy in the Woods, Eisenhower Dance, The Detroit Concert Choir and All the World’s a Stage; and provides its state-of-the-art facilities to approximately 50 organizations and rental clients annually.
