$50 first hour even if gig is less than an hour, $25/hour after that. Mileage not included, but we carpool as often as we can.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We will have flexible weekly rehearsals in late summer/early fall and paid gigs

based on your availability in November and December.

The rehearsal period is unpaid, but the standard pay for events for each singer

is $50 for the first hour (even if the gig is less than an hour), and $25/hr for

each hour after that. There may be a few 'low pay events or volunteer events'

which you could opt in or out of.

We will likely hold rehearsals in Clawson. Gigs will be in a variety of locations

and we often carpool as much as possible. Last year, we had gigs in Detroit,

Armada, Toledo, Pontiac, Taylor, and many more.

We sing mostly standard Christmas carols but will be adding a few more

modern arrangements this year. The repertoire lasts about an hour or a little

more. You are not required to memorize the music and can hold a binder for

every gig, but being *very* familiar and confidently able to hold down your

part by yourself is an absolute must and having pleasant stage presence is

also needed.

We wear our own clothes for the events - clients have the option of choosing 'a

cozy sweater look' (think cable knit, not ugly sweater), a 'dressy indoor' (suits

or dresses), and a 'professional outdoor' (basically nice slacks with your winter

coats and we provide Santa hats and scarves).
