Marine City: Part flesh, part felt, and all heart - This R-rated Sesame Street spoof will make you laugh your A** off!

Recent college grad, Princeton, moves into a shabby New York apartment out on Avenue Q. Along with his new friends, Princeton struggles to find a job, date, and discover his ever-elusive purpose in life. Filled with gut-busting adult humor and a delightfully catchy score… not to mention puppets. This unique show is the winner of the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book! With hysterical songs such as “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist,” “The Internet Is for Porn,” and “It Sucks to Be Me.”

Joel Frazee makes his ThumbCoast directorial debut with a talented cast of 11 adult actors.

Frazee says, “Sesame Street engaged our imagination, Mr. Rodgers made us feel important, and we found all of the clues with Steve and Blue, but who's here to show us how to do things now that we've grown up? In 2003 Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx, and Jeff Whitty gave us the adult life lessons we never knew we needed in Avenue Q. On the surface, this is a raunchy and satirical love letter to the many shows that helped shape us as we evolved from tots to preteens. That is until you realize that somewhere along the way this heartfelt (pun intended) story succeeds in speaking to a part of us that will always be trying to figure out this whole life thing.”

Andrew Montano stars in the role of Princeton alongside ThumbCoast regulars, Stephanie Graham (Kate Monster and Music Director), Joseph Caradonna (Nicky), Mike Danaj (Rod), Adam Sanborn (Trekkie Monster), Lauren Riggs (Bad Idea Bear and Choreographer), Jacob Stoliker (Bad Idea Bear), and Brian Wyzgowski (Brian). Making their ThumbCoast debuts are Kennedy Vernengo (Lucy), Hann Elliott (Christmas Eve), and LaKesha DeShawn Bynum (Gary Coleman).

Avenue Q is produced in special arrangement with Music Theatre International and runs February 8 - March 9 at The Riverbank Theatre. Tickets are $38 and can be purchased at thumbcoasttheaters.com or by calling the box office at 810-278-1749.
