Encore Musical Theatre holds summer concert August 9
Join Encore Musical Theatre for a summer concert at The Encore Friday, August 9 at 7:00 pm, featuring a great mix of music, including some original songs, Broadway hits, and fun surprises.

Dan Cooney is a co‐founder and the producing artistic director of The Encore. His Broadway credits include “Mamma Mia” (Bill), “Bonnie and Clyde”, “9 to 5” (Dick) and “Les Míserables”. Off‐Broadway: “Heathers”, “The Thing About Men”, “Once Around the Sun”, and “Under the Bridge”. Dan has also performed regionally at the Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Ahmanson Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse and others. He most recently directed The Encore’s summer hit, OKLAHOMA!. Television credits include: Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Kevin Can Wait, The Americans, Elementary, and The Following. Dan holds an MFA from The Yale School of Drama.
Chris Roberts is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, a Broadway performer and part of the vocal trio One Flew South which signed a record deal with Decca/Universal Records and a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Their songs have been praised in the music industry as unparalleled, and the single “My Kind of Beautiful” climbed the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Chris has shared the stage with artists such as Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffet, Dave Matthews and Neil Young. He was last seen at The Encore in TRIBUTE: SIMON & GARFUNKEL and TRIBUTE: JAMES TAYLOR, as well as an evening of music on the lobby stage with Aaron LaVigne and Dan Cooney.
Mike Eldred starred in “Les Miserables” as “Jean Valjean”, and in the original cast of the Tony-nominated “The Civil War”, as well as the 25th anniversary tour of “Jesus Christ Superstar. Mike has released three solo CDs that have garnered critical and popular acclaim. Additionally, he is a busy vocal and performance coach, and has performed as a host and a soloist in concert with many of North America’s finest symphony orchestras.
