HAMTRAMCK, MI–Planet Ant hear is presenting Sherlock Holmes and The White City here October 13-10/28.

After faking his death two years before, Sherlock Holmes is in hiding at 221b Baker Street with a recently widowed Doctor Watson. Boredom and isolation are taking their toll, however; and Watson and Mrs. Hudson are all at the end of their ropes with the great detective who appears to be growing more reckless each day.

A surprise visitor from Holmes’s past leads to Chicago and the World’s Fair—known as the White City for its 200 buildings and 100,000 electric bulbs—and directly into the path of one of America’s most prolific serial killers, H. H. Holmes.

This dramedy is an homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved characters woven into a backdrop of real events that have intrigued true crime aficionados for over a hundred years.
