Mind The Gap presents ‘Red Hot Lovers’ 6/10-6/26
SALINE, MI–Mind The Gap is presenting Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” a play by Neil Simon here, opening June 10-June 26.
Barney Cashman is a successful restaurant owner and family man who, after 22 years of marriage, decides it’s high time for him to have an affair. Taking advantage of his mother’s empty apartment, he attempts to lure various women over for sex, but his efforts prove more than a little bumbling. A hard-living type openly derides him, a young actress proves too insane and his best friend’s wife is offended by the very idea.
Directed by Fran Potasnik, the cast includes Potasnik, Adrian Diffey, Jeanine Thompson and Margaret Gilkes.
Show days and times at 6/10, 11, 17, 18, 24th and 25th at 7:30PM; and June 12, 19, 26th at 3PM.
The play is performed at The Cultural Exchange/Black Box Theatre at 109 Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline, an emerging new performance space. There is ample parking alongside and behind the theatre. Restaurants and a pub within a few steps of the theatre, with take-away cocktails allowed.
