FLINT, Mich.–Flint Repertory Theatre is taking submissions from young playwrights under age-22 for a new works festival this April.

Young Playwrights will workshop their original plays under the guidance of theatre professionals culminating in a festival of staged readings of original student created work.

The Young Playwrights Festival is a statewide festival for playwrights aged 17 and under, as well as those aged 18-22. The best 10 minute, one-acts, full-length, and Theatre for Young Audience plays are chosen by a panel of theatre professionals from submissions across the state of Michigan. Playwrights who are chosen are mentored to help prepare their work for a public staged reading.
