Michigan Opera Theatre to present free community concerts in July
DETROIT—Metro Detroiters are invited to enjoy free community performances with Michigan Opera Theatre (MOT) at the end of July. From July 24-26, MOT will offer three outdoor summer concerts throughout the region as part of its Summer Serenade concert series.
“Michigan Opera Theatre is a community organization, and we are delighted to present a series of free concerts for the public to enjoy this summer,” said MOT President and CEO Wayne S. Brown. “We encourage people throughout the area to join us for at least one of these events and experience some of what Michigan Opera Theatre has to offer.”
Summer Serenade features MOT singers Clodagh Earls, Olivia Johnson, Sasha Noori and Jeff Byrnes, accompanied by Joseph Jackson, performing classic music from opera, Broadway and the silver screen. The concerts will take place July 24 at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, July 25 at the Detroit Zoo and July 26 at Detroit’s Grand Circus Park, just west of the Detroit Opera House. Zoo admission is required to attend the July 25 performance.

Summer Serenade – Detroit Zoo: Wednesday, July 25, 6:30 p.m. at The Detroit Zoo, 8450 West 10 Mile Road, Royal Oak. Performance free with zoo admission
Summer Serenade – Grand Circus Park: Thursday, July 26, 7 p.m. at Grand Circus Park, east side intersections of Woodward and Adams avenues, Detroit (just west of the Detroit Opera House).
