Roustabout Theatre Troupe launches winter quarters campaign at fundraiser December 1
MILAN—Roustabout Theatre Troupe will be returning to Milan for a one-night event to launch their month-long Winter Quarters Campaign, at which exciting news about the company’s future will be revealed! The Owl, Morning ‘til Night, Milan’s downtown coffeehouse at 9 W Main St, will be hosting the event, and a percentage of all beer, wine, and coffee sales will be donated to Roustabout. The event will be held on Friday, Dec. 1st, starting at 8:00 pm.
The evening will serve as a fundraiser for Roustabout to help them raise operating funds for their newest project, “a major step forward,” says artistic director Joey Albright. The specifics of this project will be revealed that night. Entertainment will be provided as well, including a reading of executive director Joseph Zettelmaier’s holiday-themed one-act comedy A Very Star Wars Christmas…just in time for the latest Star Wars movie. There will also be live music by Michigan’s Rochelle Clark. Free entry to all; donations accepted.
Zettelmaier says “The town of Milan was the first city we ever rousted to, and they’ve been incredibly welcoming to us. Keeping with our circus theme, this event is both a fundraiser and a party! Food, drinks, theatre, fun…and some big surprises!”
