Dio cancels ‘Tuck Everlasting,’ subs in ‘Forever Plaid’
PINCKNEY, Mich.– The Dio Dinner & Entertainment today announced that it would have to cancel its Michigan premiere of Tuck Everlasting, and replace it with Forever Plaid, which will run June 15 to July 23.
Dio artistic director Steve DeBruyne said the decision had to be made when undisclosed issues came up with the rights holders.
“But we are hoping to make lemonade out of lemons with the return of our most popular, and most requested, production to date– Forever Plaid.”
The show, which DeBruyne has performed with other cast mates both at The Dio and The Encore Musical Theatre, is about four harmony singers who are killed in a car crash just as their career is about to take off. The show is about the four young men talking about their lives and what they expected them to become. It is a beautiful story with incredible harmony singing and great melodies.
