Read John Monaghan’s review of “The Decade Dance,” for FREEP
Zettelmaier’s “The Decade Dance,” which feels as comfy as a pair of worn Hush Puppies, takes theatergoers on a nostalgic journey through the 1970s while exploring the on-again, off-again romantic relationship between a black social activist and a white Vietnam vet. Though it offers no fresh revelations about the turbulent decade, the new play is definitely worth making a trip to the Williamston Theatre.
