Exuberant, infectious and refreshingly old-fashioned, “Newsies the Musical” is the perfect end to a rather ho-hum year of theater in Detroit. The touring production of the 2012 Broadway musical employs some astounding young talent in telling the story of a strike by  New York City newsboys  in 1899.
