Improvisational performance teaches skills everyone can use in their day to day lives.
That’s the view of performers in the Detroit Creativity Project, which works with youngsters in Detroit to develop their creative impulses.
The DCP is designed to teach improv to Detroit public school students as a vehicle for improving their communication skills. The program is offered free to Detroit middle- and high-school students and is a collaboration with Y Arts of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit.
