Don’t call them fast-food workers. They are “sandwich artists,” employees who memorize bread and condiment options like science students learning the periodic table. According to the franchise manual for Heroes, the company that employs them, they should have your order out in 20 seconds, even though the toasting part of the sandwich-making process takes at least that long.
