'Kids Night On Broadway' comes to the Fisher Theatre Oct. 25

DETROIT - Broadway In Detroit and Michigan Education Savings Plan welcome young theatergoers to enjoy a special "Kids Night On Broadway" with "Mary Poppins" at the Fisher Theatre on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Pre-show and post-show activities include story time with cast members, umbrella origami, free popcorn, free ice cream, and more! Kids' tickets are specially priced at $9 with the purchase of an adult ticket. Adult tickets begin at $34, which includes parking and facility fees.

Before the show, the children will enjoy a special story time led by "Mary Poppins"' cast members from 6 – 6:30 p.m., free popcorn from Detroit Popcorn Company, and an opportunity to create umbrella origami compliments of Arts and Scraps.

After the show, it’s ice cream for everyone! Treat Dreams ice cream shop will hand out samples of its specially created Mary Poppins ice cream flavor, A Spoonful of Brown Sugar, to all guests, while supplies last.

Performance times for "Mary Poppins," appearing Oct. 23–28 at the Fisher Theatre, located at 3011 W. Grand Blvd., in Detroit, are:

• Tuesday through Saturday performances at 7:30 p.m.
  
• Sunday evening performance at 6:30 p.m.
  
• Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.
  
• Sunday matinee at 1:30 p.m.
