Musical group Serieux will recreate the Motown sound at the upcoming fund-raiser, "Meadow Brook Theatre Celebrates Motown."

ROCHESTER - The Meadow Brook Theatre board of directors is hosting a gala benefit, "Meadow Brook Theatre Celebrates Motown," on Saturday, Oct. 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. The fundraising event will feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
The evening's entertainment will be provided by Serieux, the much-acclaimed Motown revival ensemble. Serieux has performed all over Michigan and is widely considered one of Motown's most spectacular revival groups. "We are very excited to feature entertainment by Serieux," said Cindy Cirar, board member. "This is an event no one will want to miss."
"We invite you to help us celebrate two great Metro Detroit institutions: Motown and Meadow Brook Theatre with an evening of dining, dancing and fun," said board member Linda Jarkey.
Seating is limited, and tickets are available through advance purchase only. Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets before Oct. 1, as the event is expected to sell out. All proceeds go directly to Meadow Brook Theatre a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester.
