One of our most popular episodes of Encore LIVE! every season is our annual visit with the women of BoxFest Detroit - and we suspect this year will be no different. Created and produced by women to showcase the work of women directors, "BoxFest Detroit 2012" shines the spotlight on 10 directors as they bring to life 10 original one-act plays. Proceeds from the three-week event that runs through Aug. 18 at The Furniture Factory are given to two directors as a scholarship to help further their careers, and the winner of the audience vote competition is given the opportunity to direct a show with Planet Ant Theatre's Late Night Series. Joining host Donald V. Calamia for a lively discussion are festival organizers Molly McMahon (artistic director) and Kelly A. Rossi (executive director), plus directors Jackie Strez and Carrie Morris.
