GRAND RAPIDS - The re-scheduled performances of the musical "Cats" have now been cancelled, Broadway Grand Rapids announced Aug. 2 All those holding tickets for any of the six performances slated for Oct. 18-21 should receive a full refund, BGR officials said.
Those who purchased tickets at Ticketmaster outlets must take their tickets back to the original purchase point to receive a refund. Patrons who purchased tickets online or by phone through Ticketmaster should receive an email from Ticketmaster confirming that they will receive a credit to their accounts. Broadway Grand Rapids will attempt to notify, individually, those customers who purchased directly from the Broadway box office in order to help process refunds.
The popular Andrew Lloyd Webber show originally had been booked as the final presentation of the 2011-12 Broadway Grand Rapids season. The national tour was ended a month before its scheduled June run in Grand Rapids. A revised scheduling plan pushed the local presentation forward to October, but that plan has now collapsed.
Broadway Grand Rapids understands and shares in the disappointment of this cancellation and regrets any inconvenience this has caused.
